His daughter, Nicole Barley, confirmed his passing, noting that he died at his Manhattan home due to complications from lung cancer. Barley is Roberts’ only surviving family member.
Born in New York City, Roberts built an impressive career spanning stage, film, and television. A graduate of Northwestern University, he first made his mark on Broadway before transitioning to the big screen.
