SOS! My 7-Year-Old Son Was Bitten by This

It started like any normal afternoon… until my 7-year-old son came running to me crying, holding his arm.

At first, I thought it was just a scratch or a bee sting — but when I saw the bite mark and the swelling, I knew something was wrong. The spot was red, swollen, and looked like it was spreading fast. I asked him what happened, and he pointed to a strange-looking bug near the wall.

I immediately took a picture and sent it to my sister-in-law, who lives just a few blocks away. Her response? She’d seen the exact same bug in her kitchen the day before — and not just one, but several.

That’s when I started to panic.

What was this thing? Was it poisonous? Dangerous to children?

We rushed to urgent care, and while the doctor treated my son, he also warned us: these bugs are becoming more common in residential areas due to seasonal changes — and yes, they can be dangerous, especially to young children or people with allergies.

If you see something similar in your home — don’t ignore it. Take a picture, safely capture the bug if you can, and call a local pest expert or health service.

Your child’s health might depend on it.
