A priest offered a nun a lift

A priest offered a nun a lift. As she got in and crossed her legs, her gown shifted slightly, revealing part of her leg. The priest nearly swerved off the road but managed to regain control. As he steadied the car, his hand slowly moved up her leg. “Father, remember Psalm 129?” the nun said calmly. Startled, the priest pulled his hand away. But as they continued driving, temptation got the best of him, and he let his hand slide up her leg again. “Father,” the nun repeated, “remember Psalm 129?

” Flustered, the priest apologized. “I’m sorry, Sister… the flesh is weak.” When they arrived at the convent, the nun stepped out in silence. The priest, still confused and curious, rushed to his Bible when he got back to the church. He looked up Psalm 129. It read: “Go forth and seek;

further up, you will find glory.” Moral of the story: Always know your scriptures—you might miss out on a blessing because you weren’t paying attention
