The
Kennedy Center hosted a performance of Les Misérables on June 11, but much of the night’s drama happened offstage, where former President Donald Trump was in attendance just days before his 79th birthday.
Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump appeared at the theater to watch the iconic musical, which centers on themes of social injustice, rebellion, and rising up against oppressive rulers. Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “I’ve seen it many times, it’s one of my favorites,” according to Reuters.
