A blonde woman received a fishing rod for her birthday and decided to put her new gift to good use by going ice fishing. Early the next morning, she gathered all her equipment, headed outside, and searched for the perfect spot to try her luck.
When she finally reached what looked like a frozen lake, she cut a large hole in the ice, dropped her fishing line in, and waited. Suddenly, a voice called out, “There are no fish in here!” Confused, she packed up and moved to another spot.
She cut another hole, lowered her line again, and just as she settled in, the same voice returned: “There are no fish in there!” Determined not to give up, she moved once more, found another spot, and began cutting yet another hole.
Once again, the voice echoed across the ice: “There are no fish in there!” Completely frustrated, the blonde looked up and finally spotted an irritated man standing nearby. She asked, “How do you know there are no fish in here?”
The man stared at her for a moment before calmly replying, “Well, first of all, this is a hockey rink. And second, you’re going to have to pay for those holes!” Suddenly, her entire morning made a lot more sense—and her fishing trip was officially over.
